Job Descriptions:
Identifying and resolving system errors, as well as providing diagnosis and solutions to server issues.
Conducting risk assessments and implementing security procedures, such as maintaining firewalls and monitoring all systems.
Minimizing and eliminating the risk of internal as well as external security threats.
Proactively anticipating potential problems and using analytical skills to maintain system security at all times.
Testing systems, processes, and upgrades, including debugging, tracking, logging, and addressing all identified risks and concerns.
Managing and implementing all network security processes, and reporting on outcomes.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field is often required. Advanced degrees or certifications can be advantageous.
Minimum of two years of working experience in IT security or a related field, demonstrating hands-on expertise in protecting and managing ICT systems.
Proficiency in security technologies and practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), encryption, and secure coding practices.
Knowledge of security standards and frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or CompTIA Security+ are commonly sought after (Not mandatory)
Valid work rights in Australia, such as citizenship, permanent residency, or a relevant work visa.
