Job Descriptions:
Assist residents with daily activities.
Assist with mobility, including transferring residents from beds to wheelchairs and helping with walking, ensuring safety at all times.
Observe and report any changes in the resident's physical or mental health to the nursing staff, ensuring prompt attention and care.
Assist with administering medications as directed by nursing staff, ensuring compliance with care plans and medication schedules.
Help prepare meals, feed, and ensure residents receive adequate hydration and nutrition according to their dietary needs and preferences.
Engage with residents through conversation, activities, and providing emotional support, enhancing their quality of life.
Accurately record care provided, observations, and any changes in residents' conditions.
Work closely with nursing staff, other care assistants, and allied health professionals to ensure holistic care is provided to all residents.
Requirements:
Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent qualification).
2-3 years of experience in a similar role within aged care or a related field.
Strong understanding of the needs and challenges of elderly residents.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in aged care.
