Job Descriptions:
Surface preparation of steel for painting, safely using chemicals and a range of hand tools
Clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents, or otherwise prepare fabricated steel items for the application of paint and/or other protective coatings.
Operate various equipment, such as blast pots and spray guns
Knowledge of multiple painting methods and applications
Sandblasting, abrasive and chemical techniques, masking and etching of applications.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and drawings
Safe operation of tools and equipment
Grinding, sanding and polishing of steel
Understanding of painting, caulking and sealing and putting them into practice
Requirements:
Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application or relevant
At least 3 years experience within a relevant or similar field
Ability to work in a team environment
